Your role
- As a Lead Design Engineer, you’ll take the lead on developing innovative, high-performance machinery, ensuring designs meet the highest standards of durability and efficiency. You’ll be responsible for delivering projects on time and to a high standard while driving continuous improvement in our products
Key responsibilities
- Own the design process – Lead projects from concept to full-scale production
- Engineer precision – Develop 3D models, technical drawings, and detailed engineering documentation
- Collaborate across teams – Work closely with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure practical and cost-effective designs
- Ensure compliance – Conduct design reviews, meeting all relevant industry standards and regulations
- Optimize performance – Apply best practices in materials, manufacturing, and structural integrity to improve machinery efficiency and longevity
What you need to succeed
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5+ years of experience in heavy engineering
- Proficiency in Solidworks
- Deep understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
