Apprentice CNC Programmers
As an Apprentice CNC programmer at Terracon, you will learn how to set, operate and programme the CNC machine and perform quality checks on a continuous basis. This role is suited to someone who enjoys a hands-on approach to work and is skilled in finding solutions to problems. This role will report to the supervisor daily.
General Duties
- Preparing and operating CNC machines such as Plasma cutters, Press brakes & Tube cutters
- Understanding specifications of tasks by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
- Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
- Preparing and loading raw materials and parts onto the machines.
- Preparing a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
- Setting machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.
- Supervising machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
- Inspecting and measuring finished products and comparing them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
- Checking and maintaining machinery daily to ensure functionality.
